Job Summary:

Tri-State Health is looking for an experienced Chef to join our team!

Under the leadership of the Director of Food and Nutrition, the Chef serves as the culinary expert. This is a working Chef position and provides support to the Director.

Shift is primarily Monday - Friday, some required catering events during the evening and weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise dining room operation and coordinates food-service activities
• Ensure front-end staff meet health, sanitation, and quality standards set by TSH
• Monitor employee performance
• Organize storage areas and inventory supplies
• Ensure front-end staff follow recipes for consistent meals and proper nutrition
• Fill any vacant position due to illness or employee absence for any reason
• Communicate with the Director and help solve kitchen and personnel issues
• Ensure Best Practices by monitoring staff-patron interactions and quality of patient care
• Ensure temperature and cleaning logs are tasked
• Evaluate patient meals and interact with Clinical Dietitians as needed for patient care
• Serve as Acting Director as requested; Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
  
  Education and Training:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Preferred- Bachelors in food service management Licensures/ Certifications:
    • WA Food Handlers Permit required upon hire
    • ServSafe Certified Experience:
      • 3-5 years minimum food production and kitchen management experience in institutional/restaurants Skills and Abilities:
        • Computer Program such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word knowledge is desired Benefits Overview:
