Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Overview The registered
professional nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of
nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family
education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional
nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum
of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will
function within the Shriners Children's Professional Practice Model
(FOCUSED), which includes accountability for planning,
implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing
care for assigned patients. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of
Practice provide a basis for the practice of the RN. The RN
provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role,
informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement
efforts. The RN delegates patient care according to skill level,
experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability and availability
of resources. The RN possesses excellent communication skills; is
skillful in mentoring and teaching, and may participate on
committees or projects. Shrines Spokane is looking for a part time
RN to join the team! Schedule: Part time, .75 FTE The pay range for
this position is $41.04-$70.35/hourly. Compensation is determined
based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities Provides nursing care to our pediatric patients in
all of the perioperative areas, including Pre-op Holding, the
Operating Room, and Phase I Recovery Room. Performs assessments,
interventions, circulating, IV starts, airway management, aseptic
technique, and various other high acuity skills designed to keep
the patients safe before, during, and immediately after surgery.
Collects and analyzes assessment data to determine
diagnosis/issues, Assesses comprehensive data including but not
limited to physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and
spiritual needs and interprets assessment information to derive the
diagnosis or issues as defined by the patient’s condition.
Identifies expected outcomes and develops a plan that prescribes
strategies which address health promotion and restoration, health
maintenance, or health related problems or issues and alternatives
to attain expected outcomes. Involves patient, family and
health-care team members in formulating a culturally appropriate
individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based
on nursing assessment and diagnosis. Implements the identified plan
and coordinates care delivery This is not an all-inclusive list of

assigned. Qualifications Required RN license in state of practice
Basic Life Support PEAR, PALS, ACLS Preferred Bachelor in Nursing
Perioperative/Procedural or Acute Care/ICU experience
