Facility: This medical center is a leading healthcare provider in the Inland Northwest, featuring a robust cardiothoracic surgery department with a 16-bed ICU. The facility offers advanced surgical capabilities including robotic procedures, and is part of a well-established healthcare network serving the greater Spokane region. Opportunity: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Details: • Join a well-established practice with 4 surgeons and 4 PAs • Schedule: 7am-5pm with call rotation of every third day during the week and every fourth weekend • Weekend call runs from Friday 5pm to Monday 7am • Conduct morning rounds including daily progress notes • Manage medications, order appropriate labs and studies as needed • Perform consults, history and physical examinations • Handle patient discharges and complete discharge summaries • Manage chest tubes including removal • Attend multidisciplinary rounds when on call • Participate in daily clinic (Monday-Thursday) for post-op patients • First assist in all procedures including robotic lobectomy, CABG, valve replacements, and LVAD implantation • Perform endoscopic vein and radial harvesting using Maquet System (Hemopro 2 Vasoview) • Prepare harvested conduit • Place appropriate post-operative orders • Close sternotomy (according to surgeon preference) • Weekday call includes finishing late cases, taking calls from CCU, and returning for emergency cases • Weekend call includes rounding with the call surgeon, progress notes, chest tube management, discharging patients, and being available for emergency cases • Must have valid WA license or IMLC • BLS certification required • Expedited privileges possible for providers with clean history Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Estimated Hourly Rate: $ 90 - $ 130
